Anchorage Planning and Zoning Commission Unanimously Votes Down the Knik Arm Bridge on 2/12

The Anchorage Planning & Zoning Commission on February 12, acting under federal law as a citizens' advisory committee for transportation decision-making, voted unanimously to recommend AGAINST amending the city's Long Range Transportation Plan to include the Knik Arm Bridge. The Commissioners agreed that the proposed amendment was so flawed that "nothing we can do here tonight" could make it beneficial to the city of Anchorage.
